This compact and rugged camera, designed without exposed mounting points (anti-ligature), delivers excellent 5 MP image quality. It features AI-powered video and audio analytics, as well as a concealed speaker and microphone for two-way audio communication.

Two-way communication and seamless coverage

The AXIS Q9227-SLV features a concealed speaker and microphone with an on/off switch and voice amplification for clear two-way audio communication. With a horizontal coverage of 115° and a vertical coverage of 89° with no blind spots at a resolution of 5 MP, it is ideal for prison cells and psychiatric wards. It also features invisible 940 nm infrared illumination for surveillance in complete darkness. A white LED also ensures accurate color reproduction. Thanks to Lightfinder 2.0 and Forensic WDR, this camera delivers true-to-life colors and razor-sharp images even in challenging lighting conditions or near-total darkness. Axis Zipstream with H.264 and H.265 also significantly reduces bandwidth and storage requirements.

AI-powered analytics with robust cybersecurity

This corner camera features a Deep Learning Processing Unit (DLPU) and can perform advanced functions and powerful analytics directly on the device. AXIS Object Analytics is pre-installed for detecting, classifying, tracking, and counting people. With AXIS Audio Analytics, you’ll be notified of relevant events even when there’s no visual indication. For example, it detects screams, shouts, coughing fits, and changes in noise levels. The hardware-based cybersecurity platform Axis Edge Vault also ensures the device’s integrity and protects confidential information from unauthorized access. It also provides FIPS 140-3 Level 3-certified storage of cryptographic keys and secure execution of cryptographic operations.

Inmate Safety and Privacy

With its tamper-resistant (anti-ligature) design, this rugged camera helps prevent self-harm. It features built-in, invisible infrared LEDs (940 nm) for monitoring in complete darkness that do not irritate or provoke inmates*. It is also equipped with AXIS Live Privacy Shield for AI-powered dynamic object masking. This rugged camera, rated IK11, IP66, IP6K9K, and IP69, is available in stainless steel or white-coated stainless steel and withstands the harshest conditions. It is easy to clean with detergents or graffiti removers. An LED indicator also makes it easy to see whether the camera is active or not.
