This AI-powered bullet camera is rugged and cost-effective, delivering outstanding image quality with 8 MP resolution in all lighting conditions. Based on ARTPEC-9 and supporting the AV1 codec, it offers optimized performance for running impressive analytics directly in the camera.

The AXIS P1488-LE delivers outstanding image quality and forensic detail at 8 MP resolution at 60 frames per second, even in the harshest weather conditions and rugged environments. It features OptimizedIR for surveillance in total darkness with a range of up to 50 m. Lightfinder 2.0 and Forensic WDR also ensure reliable, true-to-life colors and razor-sharp images in near-total darkness or under challenging lighting conditions. Axis Zipstream, with support for AV1, H.264, and H.265, further significantly reduces bandwidth and storage requirements without compromising image quality. Furthermore, this technology features a large 1-/1.2-inch sensor that ensures consistent performance even in low-light conditions, as well as a 6–14-mm lens with a horizontal field of view of 114°–46° for wide-area surveillance.

This impact-resistant camera, rated IK10, IP66, IP67, and NEMA 4X, is suitable for outdoor use and can withstand extreme temperatures ranging from -40 to +60 °C as well as wind speeds of up to 50 m/s. It can be powered by DC or PoE to ensure a redundant power supply. Our hardware-based cybersecurity platform, Axis Edge Vault, protects the device and provides a secure, FIPS 140-3 Level 3-certified key storage solution, ensuring secure operation. In addition, electronic image stabilization ensures smooth video in situations where the camera is exposed to vibrations. Furthermore, this rugged camera is easy to install, maintain, and operate.
